Frequently Asked Questions
Wagering requirements (also called playthrough requirements) are conditions set by casinos that dictate how many times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings. For example, a 35x wagering requirement on a $100 bonus means you must place $3,500 worth of bets before cashing out.
The higher the wagering requirement, the more you will statistically lose through gameplay before you can withdraw. With each bet, the house edge reduces your balance. A $100 bonus with 35x wagering at a 3% house edge means you would expect to lose about $105 in wagering - more than the bonus itself. Our calculator helps you understand this relationship.
Generally, wagering requirements below 25x are considered good, 25-35x is average, and anything above 40x is high. No wagering or low wagering bonuses (under 10x) offer the best value, though they are less common and usually come with smaller bonus amounts.
No. Most casinos have different contribution rates for different games. Slots typically contribute 100%, while table games like blackjack may only contribute 10-20%. This means you would need to bet 5-10 times more on table games to meet the same requirement. Always check the bonus terms for game weighting.
Max cashout (or maximum withdrawal) is a cap on how much you can withdraw from bonus winnings. Even if you win $1,000 from a bonus, a max cashout of $200 means you can only keep $200. This significantly reduces the real value of the bonus and is factored into our Bonus Value Estimator.
Our calculators provide statistical estimates based on mathematical models. Actual results will vary due to the inherent randomness of casino games. The expected values shown represent the most likely long-term outcome but individual sessions can differ significantly. Use these tools as guidelines, not guarantees.
